Let's Geek Out! is the brainchild of Matt Compton. A self-described "geek" who loves attending conventions (sometimes even cosplaying as the 10th Doctor), Matt found himself frustrated by the lack of a single, comprehensive resource for fandom events. Tired of checking multiple websites to find out what was happening nearby, he decided to build the solution himself. His hope is that this will become the ultimate event aggregator for the geek community in Southern California.

Our mission is to cover everything under the "fandom" umbrella. From Comic Cons and Anime expos to horror festivals, tabletop gaming tournaments, and genre-specific movie screenings, if it's geeky, we want you to know about it. We aggregate hundreds of events — including conventions, renaissance festivals, toy shows, and even in-store celebrity signings — so you never miss an opportunity to celebrate the things you love.

This project is a labor of love and a way to give back to the community Matt has been a part of his entire life. While we hope to eventually partner with sponsors to keep the lights on, our primary goal remains simple: to help you find your next great adventure.
